Moving to an Arabian training barn and have a question

I'm sending my horse to an Arabian training facility soon. I just found the perfect farrier and he just moved up here. I don't want to lose him. If you were in the trainer/BOs position, how would you feel about accommodating a farrier you aren't familiar with? He did mention when I spoke to him (before finding the new farrier) that he has different people come out because they are good in different areas. I'm going to send him an email when I get home to ask, but wanted to put out my "feelers" and see what others would think in that situation.

As long as the farrier doesn't pick apart someone elses work - I don't mind at all. If you (anyone) chooses a less than decent farrier - your horse is the one that pays for it - not the barn as a whole.
