So im sure i found the place to board at :/

Kinda happy but upset at the same time
The place I wanted to board at was really nice, good trainer, good price (350)
BUT.... Now she up'd her price to 830!!! So its a training package
I asked if I could just board and pay to get lessons once a week but nope....
SO back to my second choice barn, ok paddocks, good training but its 450.

Sigh... hope I can afford it there is nothing in my area

Ouch. That's quite a dramatic increase! Hope your second choice works out well. :)

Is your horse a candidate for pasture board? If you can get away with just a pasture/run-in shed situation, it might give you some more options of good barns & trainers. I'm saving $200 a month by not having a stall. My horse would rather be out anyway.

You just have to see your distance...you don't have to like it.

well that's what im looking for I was going to have him outside in a paddock, but now she is just taking in training packages. The second choice is stall board and paddocks during the day.

I agree, ouch! That's a pretty steep increase, i'm sorry you didn't get the stable you want, but you never know, the 2nd one could end up perfect for ya ;).

If it helps, two barns in my area tried that one a few years ago. Both reverted back to their old rates when boarders started leaving in large numbers. Unless your market can justify those rates, they'll come back down.

You just have to see your distance...you don't have to like it.

The barn I picked should work out :) I have another barn that might take me in later months. Grand prix barn they don't board other horses but they might consider me :P
