So a friend of my mine(well was a friend) lives in the country and has land. I am only 18 and she was as well, but I also asked her parents for permission and they were all gung-ho about the situation. Her mother had horses in the past and had wanted them for awhile.
Long story short, my friend and I got in an argument and she pretty much kicked him out and told me I should move him right away. There were also some other factors of her shadiness that I didn't want to put up with anymore as well. So I went through a lot of nonsense to find another place to keep him. I wasn't planning on telling her when I was moving him because I thought that it didn't pertain to anything.
She asked me a couple days before I was going to move him, when I was moving him. I said Monday, which was a few days away. She preceded to tell me that I was rude for not telling her and that they "loved him" and wanted to say goodbye. Blah blah blah. So monday comes rolling around and her mother texts me and wants to know where he is going and if the owners knows. (Because he is a free lease). I informed her that the owner knew and was fine with it. Then she told me that she wasn't going to let me move him unless she heard from the owner. Which really irked me because he is technically mine and any decision I make shouldn't be reprimanded in anyway. I asked her how she could say I can't take him when he isn't her horse. After a few VERY frustrating hours I gave in a let her talk to the owner and then she gave me "permission" to get him.
I was going to fight her but I knew she would lock him in the pasture or some other idiotic thing.
And I was just wondering if there is any legal action I can take against her? I am meeting a private investigator soon to discuss the matter but I just wanted to know if any of you have come across a situation like this?
I apologize if you find this post completely pointless since I did get my horse, but I'm still really upset about the whole thing...
