What's your dream situation?

In my head, I keep saying to myself "when I grow up, I'll have my own farm." but as I get older, I realize that it's very expensive ... so I have taken to daydreaming, as I'm sure many of us do, and I'm curious what each of us would have, if we could have whatever we wanted?

So tell me, if everything was perfect, and you had everything your way, what would your ideal, dream living situation be with your horse?

A horse is the projection of peoples' dreams about themselves - strong, powerful, beautiful - and it has the capability of giving us escape from our mundane existence.

I would love my own place, but I think if I didn't have a friend or two boarding at it then I wouldn't ride as much. I love having company when I ride, even if it's just them sitting around throwing bad advice at me (in good humor.)

For a boarding barn, I'd love to be at a farm that had no more then 15 horses, but at least 25 acres of rolling pasture with safe 3 or 4 board wood fencing. A few trees and run-ins for shade, automatic waterers. A large outside stonedust ring, a grass ring, a 60 foot roundpen with good footing and an indoor! Large 12 x 12 or bigger stalls, a lounge room with fridge and couches, and a bathroom (a bathroom would be awesome, period)

Good parking, no kids, place for trailers, active boarders who enjoyed hanging out and riding.

Well....im eventually inheriting my dream life whatever.
When I get out of the army I have 350 acres of land from my papa, about 200 head of charlotte cattle, 3 barns (though theyre kinda old and falling apart) and a chute setup for all my cow needs haha. Plus my father is buying the other 400acres from my uncle who lives across from my papas ranch so ill have that (me and my dad are the only ones that want to ranch anymore) so thatll be our land.

My sister and her fiance are building on 5 acres of the land. My parents plan on moving down there and building there so altogether well have about 750 acres of land, 3 houses (sisters, parents, and mine eventually) 3 barns, a corral, an arena eventually, 400 plus head, and 3 ponds that my papa dug about 20 yrs ago.

I got it made...

You have my dream life! (Just to let ya know LOL)
By the way, for the moment, I'd like to have my own horse, or even a lease.. or half-lease one! And, more than everything, more time to spend at the barn..
I hope those words " I got it made" will somehow get out of my mouth too in the future :)

Don't forget to live in the now, enjoy what is in front of you right at this moment. Sometimes we can get so caught up in getting "there" we forget to enjoy the the ride, so to speak. Cool arena by the way.......
