I've thought and thought and thought and I've decided not to breed. I know what I want out of a foal and I think it may be a after an less risky option to buy than breed. You were all here with me through the lethal white filly last year and the loss of both my mare and foal the year before. I'm just not sure I can handle risking another loss - its too hard on me.
I've already called the vet and (weather pending) Poco will be gelded March 28th.

Losing one like that would be tough.
Last year I bought a show stallion out of California. He was, quite literally, everything I wanted in my stallion. I had him nine days and he died from a case ulcers that were so bad he could have died at any moment. I came really.close then to selling out then.
Stayed with it and found another awesome guy. His sire is a CA carrier and turns out his dam was as well. He only had a 25% chance of surviving and coming out CA negative - which he did.
But there is always a risk and sometimes it's just too hard.
I hope you find your dream filly soon.
