393 Days into gestation! *Update - LOST FOAL*

Hello, I have a 9 year old Arabian Maiden mare. I bred her May 6/7, 2012. Today she would be around 393 days into gestation. I am able to listen with a stethoscope to the baby's heart beat. My vet showed me where to push on her to see the baby move. And we have been trail riding 2 times a week. She is very High Strung! I have also moved two of my horses to another pasture a 1/4 mile away to give her peace and quiet. I left her a buddy as she goes postal if left alone. Is this normal, should I be more concerned. I have just talked to so many people and read so much I am not sure if I am imaging the movements and that this is a false pregnancy or if she is just being very stubborn. All advise welcome!

I have no advice really since I've never bred horses before, but wouldn't the vet be able to tell you if she's pregnant or if it's a false pregnancy??

Talk to your vet. I've never heard of a mare going 393 days.

Yikes! Our mare was as big as a whale at 342 days when she foaled.

I would call a vet. Longer gestation periods can sometimes be symptomatic of issues with the foal like hypothyroidism or fescue toxicosis. A few of my friends have had mares go from 364 days to 370 and 372 days this year with healthy foals, but that I think is right at the end of what is considered "normal range". Are you absolutely positive that is when she was bred? Is it possible she was bred 3 or 4 weeks later?
