I don't see a bred mare there, but she is standing so hip high and awkward in her front end, the stance may be hiding a baby bump.

Yeah, the mare I mentioned about not being able to see the foal with the ultrasound... She had to be sedated too, she carries her foals way forward and doesn't show very much, especially with her first foal. Definitely go for an ultrasound for a definite yes or no.

Sure do appreciate your input. I'll be calling MY vet in the morning (the vet that did the most recent palpation was onsite vaccinating one of my boarders horses, and made time for me)....based on what I am hearing from this board is that my palpation was not as conclusive as it could have been. I'm getting an ultrasound....this is just to "iffy" for me....too many factors that point to YES, but the doubt is there. Thanks again....I will post a follow up!

In all honesty, so long as you are treating her as if she was prego....doing all the prenatal care she would need...I would hold off for about another month or so until I called the vet back out.

I think it would bother me to because I would just want to know! But there is no harm in waiting at this point.

Also, I have a question for the OP.....when did y'all breed this mare?

This is exactly the stance we have been taking.....but as you can see by the hour at which I am posting....it is driving me crazy. She is fine, so depending on what my husband and I decide in the morning, we may hold off.....but I may commit harrey carrey meanwhile. LOL

Sierra, sorry.....just noticed your question. We bred her on March 27, 2011.

If she isn't bagged up or anything, I would say she isn't bred for sure. She would be due in the next couple weeks or so.
