Any ideas for selling unused frozen semen?

Does anyone have any idea how to go about selling unused frozen semen? I have 2 doses of Fidertanz semen I'm paying to store that I can no longer use. The doses were sent directly from the broker to the repro vet's office and they need a new home.
Anyone have any experience with this?

Is the semen from you're stallion or someone elses? If from another stallion you could ask the stud owner about selling it and agreements between you two. I've seen people sell semen like that quite a bit.

Ok thanks. I purchased the semen for a per dose price. Now I need to sell it on but am unsure how that can be done.

Basically I would sit down with the stud's owner and get their permission to sell it then ask what terms they would do this on so the buyer knows what to expect. Have everything in writting especially when selling the semen such as a contract between you and buyer. As for advertisement its easier as long as you specify what your selling (semen doses) and a little about the stallion to the best of your knowledge. Add a picture if you would like of the stallion.

The stallion stands in Europe. And as I have already purchased and own the frozen semen, I am not sure why I would need to have permission to sell it. Can you explain this to me?

If the resulting foal is to be registered, it is the stallion owner that has to fill out breeding reports and sign paperwork for foal registration.

If she purchased the semen from a broker like Judy Yancy, the OP would not be dealing with the stallion owner. I don't believe there is a breeding contract with most brokers, so you can pretty much do with the semen what you want. Buying from a broker is not at all the same as buying from the stallion owner...

How does the use of a broker impact the registration of resulting foals??

He is a lovely stallion, and it looks like his fees for frozen are around 800 euro still. However, do you have the ability to ship, etc? I would suggest contacting a broker, to whom you will most likely have to pay a fee, but who is most likely to get the highest price.
