APHA registration questions

I don't know if this is the right place to post this questions, tell me if I'm wrong!

I have a few questions about the registration forms at the APHA.

First, if I don't have the APHA ID number of the owner of the dam and sire, which is the same person, but I have his signature and his address and he
Couldn't remember is APHA ID either, is it absolutely necessary? I
Have the registration number of the dam and sire.

Secondly, what is the second place for an address under the dam's section for?

Thirdly, if I don't know the exact "beginning and ending date the
Horses were exposed", the owner could only remember the month, April,
But I have the Breeder's certificate control number. Could I write
This number down instead?

Fourthly, do I need a DNA kit if both the dam and sire are APHA and
Registered (breeding method used : live cover)?

Any other signature from any previous owners?

Email the registry with your questions. They are usually pretty good about helping you through the process.

I just thought maybe someone else here could have the answers.

Sorrel and chestnut are the same color, just different shades, so it would really matter if she was registered as a sorrel or as a chestnut.

I know Poseidon, but you want to be the more precise you can...

Anyway, I got the reply from the APHA guy, for people who are interested here is what he said :

1- I don't need the APHA ID of the dam or sire owner;
2- The place under the dam section is for the owner of the dam if it is different from the foaling date (I'm not sure I got that right);
3- If you have the breeding certificate, you can write the month and year only.
4 - Only the stallion need to have the DNA on file if it's live cover.
5- No.
6- If the color doesn't fit the horse according to the people in the APHA office, they will change it. For my sorrel mare I could write grey and they'll just change it.
7- Yes you can submit more than the 4 required pictures.

I would not trust a registry to determine the color of your horse. Do you have a picture?

She's plain sorrel lol, there is no doubt about it. I don't have pictures at work!
