Apparently jasper was a big let down to his daddy....

Let me start off by saying I will always love jasper no matter what his history. But his past career sucks big time! Haha here is his pedigree and racing info. (All Breed Pedigree Query) here is his daddys info (Judge Smells Thoroughbred Judge Smells Horse Pedigree )

I have been doing research and have found a TON of stuff about Judge. Here is just a lil bit of stuff about him.

About Us -- Xanthus Farm
"Xanthus' first commercially successful stallion was Judge Smells, who proved immensely popular after moving there in 1995, breeding as many as 124 mares in a season until his untimely death in 2000. Losing Judge Smells was a devastating setback to the Ricklines, who had developed a deep personal attachment to the horse."

Haha, I love researching lineage! I found out that Ice's sire was a big name in the 80's, he was touted as a potentially really famous sire if he'd been bred the right way. Instead he was always kind of like the underdog sire...made great babies but for whatever reason just wasn't famous. Regardless, some of the horses with his lines are still selling for 15k!

Also, Ice's great great grand sire Red God, was a real a$$hole to deal with on the ground. Huge temper. LOL wonder where Ice gets it from?
