Aprox size of pony foal at birth

HI all

As some may know, I adopted a pony (10 HH) from a rescue only to discover a few months after that she is pregnant. We are expecting the baby sometime around November. Its very cold here in the winter, windy beyond belief. We are turning part of our shelter into a stall since we don't have barn.

I want to buy a foal blanket ahead of time but have no clue as to what size.
The mare is 10 HH and the stud was apparently around 9 HH. About how big will this foal be at birth? Anyone know where I can get a tiny blanket?

Any help is appreciated.

Thank You

I went to an auction and found mine. I don't know much about minis. I would think that about 4 or 5 hands maybe?

I would use mini gear. I bought a 12hh pony that I didn't know was preggo. Baby was so little a regular foal halter didnt fit her till almost 3 months. So I would get a mini halter or even a mini foal halter and a mini foal blanket. Baby is now almost 6 months old and is probably about 10hh (she is going to outgrow her mama) and I got her a regular size foal blanket for winter. She is also now in a weanling halter (although it is a tad big on her). HTH :)
