Smile Baby soon! (Hopefully!)

Peaches, a horse I've taken care of for a year now, is supposed to have a foal in about 12 days. So basically it could come any time now. She is a red roan leopard appaloosa and she was bred with Jack, a brown blanket appaloosa. His blanket was just on the rump. The owners are hoping for a black and white blanket, but we think she'll have a bay roan blanket, or a dark brown blanket appaloosa. I don't know what they will do with the baby, but oh well.

Any ideas on colors or names?? I don't know Jack's registered name, but Peaches is Echo's Peaches N Cream. I think Jack is something like, Jack's Rebel Spirit.

Foal
Hm, i'm trying to think of names but i'm no good at that part. It took me three months to name my horse after I brought him home (they called him 11c, somehow, I didn't think that fit!).

Echo's Peach Rebel
Echo's Spirit
Jack's Rebel Peach
Jack's Rebel Echo

AND I WOULD LOVE TO SEE PICTURES! :]

Hint. Hint.

I hope the coloring comes out nice, i'm sure it will be a gorgeous baby. Let us know how it all goes!

I will. Thanks for the name suggestions. It may take a few days before I get pics after its born. I have dial up, so i'll have to go to a friends house to do it, but I will put pictures up! I promise!

Can't wait! Babies are just so cute

For the name, maybe something like
Sweet Rebel, or Sweet Revenge

Just be patient, some times they can hold on to their babies for another month after they are due. My horses tend to do that!

Your chances of getting a black are very slim, or a bay even. You are more likily to get a red roan, or even a solid sorrel.

Anyways congrats! I can't wait until the little one arrives! My mare is due to foal in 5 days, but I'm not expecting the little one until at least the 20th.

Sounds cool! From what I've heard, roan is a dominant gene (?). So, maybe another red roan or bay roan. Yes, pictures ASAP!! :) I believe I state the obvious by saying FOALS ARE SO CUTE!

Thanks guys. I am really excited. And I really hope she doesn't hold onto it for another month. And I just found out I was way off on the sire's name. Jack's Rebel Spirit is the granddaddy. The sire's name is Ulrich's Prince Penny. I don't know where that name came from. Oh well.
