Bagging up!

So the little one is bagging up. Do they normally get really irritable with you checking it out? I check her daily, and she kicked at me before I even got my hand down to check her. Which is understandable, but is it normal? She is also "filling" up in front of her teats, is that normal too?

Not much question about it now... lol... foal in there somewhere!

Very normal for them to become irritated but keep up with getting her teats used to being touched especially if she's a maiden. I would keep an eye on her if her tips are filling with real milk.

LOL, ok I won't back off then from her kicking. She should be used to her nightly "groping" but I'm sure it must be uncomfortable. Poor dear. Quite hot this week and being very pregnant and hot is not too fun.

No being pregnant during the summer is tough I'm sure. Never back off on her kicking out. That's a very dangerous thing that needs corrected despite. She'll be uncomfortable for a while longer. How far along is she?

No idea how far along. She was given to us by a "rescue" and I later found out that she had been kept with a stallion during her time there. We got her in early November I believe it was. Have been suspicious of a pregnancy over the last few months.

Have you had the vet put to check her? Mares can have false pregnancies.
