Barrel studs VS Reining studs

Just searching through a Barrel Horse News magazine and thought about maybe breeding for an all around that would be athletic to do either. Are either of these able to preform in each others class? I've heard of differences in disciplines and different body builds.......YET, I come across SBR Formula One. Are there other nice stallions that you've heard of that can do that? *Note to say I wouldn't look at him general*

What stallions would you prefer?

If you are wanting a cowhorse prospect, you need to breed to a horse who is built to get in the ground and stop well. A lot of barrel horses are built more like a runner and aren't able to do the sliding stops, etc, very well. They aren't built underneath themselves like a cowhorse would be and are more straight and aren't as low hocked IMO.

To me, SBR Formula One is built more like a cowhorse, but has more flat kneed movement, which allows him to be competitive in other events. I think the main thing that allows him to do so many things is his mind and trainability. I don't think he would be able to compete with the big boys in reining or anything, but maybe I'm wrong!

I am liking Guys Real Deal out of FL.
I will probably breed my mare to him in the future.

They had some videos of him running and some confo pictures up and his lines but I can not seem to be able to find it.

Here it is on all pedigree http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/guys+real+deal
