Question Beauty's Pregnancy and Riding

Ok so a horse named Beauty became impregnated around May 13, 2012. I have had one person tell me that I can ride her throughout the whole pregnancy except when it gets real close to the birth. Can I still jump on her or what are my limits now that she is pregnant? How should she be taken care of?

You should be fine to ride.

You can ride her up until the last month or when she starts getting umfortable. You can walk and trot in second trimester but walk around in the last. That's what I've heard. She will tell you when she's done riding when she gets closer.

^^^ I agree. You want exercise but nothing strenuous and just watch to make sure she keeps her weight on. Other than that, the old saying is "Treat her like a horse" (i.e. You don't need to do anything special).

On the sixth day, God created the Quarter Horse.
On the seventh day, he Painted the good ones.

My mare is almost 7 months pregnant and I still ride her. Mostly bareback because she's warm and wide and comphy! LoL. I do mostly walking, a little bit of jogging, but it is getting difficult for her. She is very out of shape for riding so I only do light stuff with her. At a canter, she's actually quite unbalanced already so we don't do it.

I personally would only just until the 4th month of pregnancy and then stop and just keep her in shape. My mare started getting a belly in the 4th month, and now, its rather ummm...big. And the baby is moving now.
