Bella and Penny's Foaling Thread

Okay... I said in another post I was waiting until Bella was a month out but she's starting to show a tiny little filling in the bag so I'm too excited to wait. (Hey I was checking at 10 weeks out looking for the slightest change in the udder.)

So here were are:

1. Turko Bella aka Bella - 1995 16.3 TB mare (Turkoman x Barbara Bella (Vencedor)) Due date - March 27th.

Mother of four previous foals --- all TBs. Two colts and two fillies I believe. Sire is a 16.1hh black fewspot Appaloosa stallion named RHR Blue Eagle (RHR Eagle's Wings x RHR Bolt of Blue(Chars Eternal Ute))
(love this boy so much that when the owner offered him to me I took it, he will be arriving at my farm within the month . )

Photo of him as a 2 yr old. He's really filled out. Will get some new pics when he arrives.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
2. Betterlatethannevr aka Penny - 2001 15.1hh TB mare. (Cat's Career x Forest Nymph (Green Forest)) Due date April 7th

Maiden mare. She's really showing... will get some fresh pics when the weather warms up again and I can take the blankets off.
Sire is a 15.1hh red roan fewspot Appaloosa stallion named Dreamin Dun (Dreamfinder x Dun in Diamonds (Super Weed)).

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Please feel free to guess what the resulting foal will be sex, color, marking wise. I love playing this game myself.
Actually here is mine and my husbands guesses....

Me--
Bella -- Bay, colt, blaze, 2 socks, big blanket, lots of spots.
Penny -- Chestnut, colt, stripe, 2 socks, big blanket, lots of spots

DH--
Bella -- Black, colt, star, 4 socks, little blanket, no spots
Penny -- chestnut, filly, stripe, 2 socks, big blankets, some spots.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here are the genetics---

Bella - Ee Aa/ Blue - Ee aa LpLp most likely has Patn1

Penny - ee AA/ Junior - ee AA LpLp most likely does not have Patn1

(sorry for the huge pics, it won't let me resize them)

No guessing needed for the base coat color for Penny's foal, unless you want to guess the shade of chestnut : D

Looking forward to watching their progression and seeing their foals. I won't make any guesses yet though ;)

lol... that's true!! I'm hoping for a lighter mane and tail and a nice cherry red body.

Your not the only one. I have a coming 2 yr old filly which was my first purchase. Last year I bought my future stud colt and then when the opportunity came for me to get Blue (which I fell in love with the first time I saw him two years ago) I jumped all over it. Lisa is wonderful and I so enjoy going to her place.

Well checked my girls this morning and Penny went from nada to an actual little bag in two days. I told her this morning she's still got some cooking to do and to not get ahead of herself. She looks ready to pop already, I'm curious to how much bigger she could possibly get. Pics soon.
