Or, as in this case "probably" non characteristic. I have registered several foals as NC, and have changed their registrations to regular years later when they developed both color and characteristics. With Appys it ain't over till the fat lady sings or they test lp/lp...

non characteristic. These horses are lp/lp.. meaning they show no signs of appy coloring/characteristics but can PRODUCE characteristics. They have solid hooves, no mottling, and no white sclera.

They happen 25% of the time between leopard to leopard breedings.

An lp/lp CANNOT produce characteristics. In other words, an lp/lp crossed with an lp/lp will (obviously) produce ONLY lp/lp.

The offspring of an lp/lp can have characteristics, but only if and because it is crossed with an LP/lp or LP/LP - in other words the lp/lp cannot contribute LP because it has none to contribute...

Ghostwind except when it come to politics Faceman is always correct.
    Those are nice foals.
I thought I was the only one lucky enough to have 2 mares foal the same night. Mine did within the same hour. Still trying to catch up on my sleep.
    Good luck with them. Shalom
