    Bloodline Crit?

Soo..I finally got my confirmation email from the jockey club (3 days later lol) and found that Alahna is:
Buea Oak out of Sassy Accord with 25 starts and 5 wins, raced from '08-'10. Birthdate is March 8, 2006.

BUT, I know nothing about racehorses, and would absolutely love some input on her breeding.(:
I believe one of her breeders has died and the other is still racing/breeding. I'm going to try and find a contact for him and see if he still has her papers or who I might ask otherwise to see if they have them, or how to go about registering her in my name.

Anywho, here's a pic of her pedigree:

I know Northern Dancer was a big deal! Something like he was the first Canadian racehorse to either enter or win the kentucky derby. I'll see what I can find. I'm probably way off!! Lol
We have a OTTB at the rescue who is a descendent of him. That's the only reason I recognize the name. Hold on!

I think Raise a Native is a "big deal" also.........

Sire of 74 stakes winners including 1969 Kentucky Derby & Preakness Winner Majestic Prince and Champion Triple Crown runner-up Alydar. He also sired champions Mr. Prospector, and Exclusive Native who sired 1978 Triple Crown winner Affirmed, and 1980 Kentucky Derby winner filly, Genuine Risk.

DM, I didn't even think to just look them up on Equibase..lol.

Hopefully we'll get a good game horse out of her then, haha.

Also..how would I go about finding out if she was ever bred?
And any better ideas on how to gwt hwr registered in my name without having papers or knowing the previous owners? Someone thought she was a STB and didn't think to get papers (or thought they didn't get registered? O.o).

I didn't find anything about her having any foals.. And about the papers talk to the JC.. That would be my advice.

Here is her race record http://www.equibase.com/profiles/Res...120&registry=T

Her pedigree is a virtual who's who in the TB industry. Other than the sire and the dam's sire, all the male horses made a huge impact on the racing industry.
