This isn't much about actual breeding, but I didn't know where exactly to put it so here we go.

A couple of years ago, I had an Arabian gelding named C.J. His registered name was Casey's Cup of Joe. His previous owner supposedly had shown him, and won on the American Arabian circuit and apparently had done extremely well (champion of some sort).

Sadly he passed away due to old age (27) in 2008.

I ran into an Arab breeder once and when I told her his name she got all excited and told me that was a good bloodline. The only problem is, I've never heard of this bloodline, nor if it was any good or anything. The name that passes through the bloodline is "Casey."

Does anyone here know anything about this line? Or where I might find information on it? Does it even exist? It's been a few years now, but I'm really curious about his bloodline. The owner did give us papers on him, but I'm not sure where they are anymore.

There's no such name listed in arabdatasource, either in the Purebred or Half-Arab listings. Is it possible the name isn't correct?

There are a few possibilities as to why his name isn't showing up. If he isn't showing up in the Anglo Arabian Registry either, there might be something unique about his name that you are missing. Perhaps an unusual spelling in his name or initials of the breeder added as a suffix or prefix to the registered name. Also, there are Shagya Arabians which are considered a separate and distinct breed. If you have the correct name and precise spelling or the registration number, he should show up in one of those registries. Good luck. Let me know if I can be of any more help.
