Breeding a Dutch warmblood to a Brazilian warmblood....

What could the foal be registered as if I bred a Dutch Warmblood mare to a Brazilian Warmblood stallion? Just curious...thanks!

Go to the registration's websites and do your research. I'm almost certain you will find what you are looking for there.

I believe it would be a Cross-Continental Warmblood. Very rare breed.

Spent a whole hour today laying in a pasture, waiting for a sparkling vampire to show up. Alas, I woke up and looked over, only to find a mound of horse crap. Sigh.

What registries are both of them APPROVED in?

Doesnt matter what their registration status is - if they havent been inspected and approved the foal wont get registration rights in that registry

For example, there are several Hanoverian stallions that were never inspected / approved AHA, but were approved Old NA and/ or GOV and / or RPSI so those are the registries the foal would be eligible for

Make sense ?!

You would have to go to both registries and see what the requirements are for breeding. Is the mare approved in the Brazilian Warmblood book or is the stallion approved by the Dutch Warmblood registry? You could see if the mare can be put into the Brazilian Warmblood mare book, then the foal could be a Brazilian warmblood, I believe.
