Personally I will not do this. Reason being that I feel the mare's body needs that time for the reproductive organs to heal before being pregnant again. Also, breeding on the foal heat there is less of a chance of getting pregnant. It is exactly at 50 % chance, I'd prefer to wait until the odds are better before I spend the money having the mare bred.
The ONLY pros of breeding on a foal heat are to change the foaling date a month ahead for the following year. This is useful if wanting an earlier foaling.
