Breeding-Mare and foal care

What would you recommend feeding an Arabian mare before during and after pregnacy and after the foal is weaned/weaning and also what should I give the foal after he starts eating on his own?

I would get a book on the care of mare and foal, and also ask your veterinarian. I've read up on nutrition to a degree, and I do agree that in a lot of ways we over grain horses, but in some cases, like pregnant mares, and growing foals, some extra supplements will definitely help.
