Congrats! Looks like you actually have a champagne mare AND foal, not buckskin I'm thinking amber champagne for both, but am not an expert on champagnes by any means
I also worry about the possibility of your mare having a torn pre pubic tendon. I would definitely get her checked out.. but you should have already when you got the foal checked out and his IgG levels tested.. I hope.

Wow he is gorgeous...I love his squiggly nose. He looks champagne to me! Do you know what his sire is? Congrats!

I, too, love that squiggle on the end of his blaze-quite distinctive! W/those eyes-I'm thinking champagne too. Lovely little foal-Congrats!

He is champagne. The black has faded to a light brown. He is HUGE! He is about to be on his third halter, he is growing that quick. Blondie is doing great. They have been taking care of my mothers old QH mare who is going blind and having severe hind end problems(thought it was epm but test was negative). We think she follows them cause they are easier to see being such brightly colored. Titan is doing wonderful. Ive worked with him almost every day since he was born. I'm no professional but he leads(and tries to eat the rope), will pick his feet up, will tolerate the big scary fly sheet while I fumble with it(for the QH mare), he follows me everywhere. His is turning out to be a wonderful colt. He has also made friends with our newest 2 yo APHA filly, Enough Said Darlin'(aka Nuffy) and our other QH mare. Will have to post pics soon :)

here he is! the pictures without the halter were taken about two months ago. the pictures with the halter were about two weeks ago. he has almost outgrown the halter he is wearing, only one more notch to go. his third halter is waiting, hanging right by the door. will probably have to put it on in a couple weeks.

What a good, sturdy looking boy with a nice color to match! I think you have a winner! Do you have any plans for him yet/are you going to keep him?

and his sire is a black percheron stallion. i have not seen the stallion, my mare was bred before we bought her, which our farrier told us he had bred her but did not know if it was successful[obviously it was]. and the last picture, he had cut both back legs somehow. they have healed completely. someone asked about his moms belly, she is just fat. she has always been that way. she is "addicted to food" in my opinion and come feed time becomes hard to handle because she is determined to get her food and has difficulty stopping quickly because of her size.

we are either keeping him or selling him back to our farrier. hoping to keep him though. including him we have 7 horses. but we are not sure how much long my mothers mare will be here as she is not doing well[trying to find a new vet as we no longer do business with the vet that did an epm test on her, which came back negative].
