Can he make babies?

Hey everyone,

We bought a new property a while back and just recently got it refenced so we could move the horses.

So 5 of my horses are now running together.. anyway, my 3yr old filly is in season and was winking at my 11month old colt Nullah, now I was under the impression they may show interest but wouldn't really do anything yet and if they did it wouldn't cause pregnancy(maybe I was being naive?!) anyway, he ended up trying to mount her so I promptly ended that and they are now seperated.

So to sum things up.. can they make babies? ;)

EDIT: Just wanted to add that a foal is not the goal here as I already have a stallion I would like to use for the cremello filly later on and he is certainly not it!

He can breed as soon as his testicles drop which could certainly be at his age.

Yep. If she is fertile, and he has dropped, they can reproduce. Neither are too young to be reproducing, even though they are very young. Nature has built them to reproduce at the age they are.

As so often he is at the difficult age.....if you actually WANTED to breed him, there would be no way that he would get the job done. Being as you don't want to breed him, then yes he can, and probably will given a chance.

If he has dropped then he can fire live ammo, time for the snip maybe??

Ok thanks guys! seems I was a bit delusional, haha.

GoldenHorse- Im leaving him a colt for as long as he is easy to handle and dosnt cause me any trouble.. just because Im hoping for it to help add some bulk.

I see no baby making in his future though ;)
