Could she be pregnant?

I just really didn't think she got bred. He has been slow maturing. He still acts like a young horse. People can't believe he is a stallion when I take him on trail rides. They even bend down and look like they don't believe me.

She has had 1 foal before and it took several breeding cycles for her to get bred before, different stallion, and then also she was only starting to cycle in March and April. I know in March she was only in for about 2 days. I just really didn't think they connected yet. Also the stallion is low on the totem pole in our herd, our boss is a 11 year old walking horse, so I just didn't think it happened.

Well, like I said vet will be here Monday or Tuesday, she is supposed to call and I will leave work.

If you wanted this stud to breed this mare then fine but it surprises me no end that people still think that putting together opposite sexs in one enclosure will somehow not produce a baby.

We were planning on breeding them and when we decided to show him then he left May 2. I didn't figure she had been bred so we decided then that we would breed her this coming year. So it's not like we didn't plan on it but we just figured there wasn't time yet for her to be cycling regularly and for him to have bred her. And we decided that we needed to show him that one more year because it would probably be the last year we could afford to have him shown.

I was quite disappointed if you want to know the truth that we wouldn't have any babies this year. My other mare foaled in May (by another stallion) and with our stallion gone to show, then we didn't breed her back. We wanted to wait until this year and breed him to our mares. This will be his first year of breeding.

It is very possible that the mare is pregnant. From the times stallions are like 2 they can impregnate a mare.
I hope you've had her on good nutritionally balanced feed or else you're looking at having a baby with problems.

could she be pregnant?

Yes, I have her on a very good feed that was recommended by my vet before. Our hay is also good quality and is fescue free. Just wormed her too.
