He was really hauling butt around the field right before that, but I couldn't get the camera out in time. :)

AK_showgirl was riding his mom yesterday, and he seemed to like it when she made his mama move, so he could run around after her. He has SO much personality (just like mom and dad).

I have been working on picking up his feet, touching him all over, and the ever fun leading. He is making progress, but you can see that he is a baby when you try to ask him to stand still on the lead line! Hopefully we can keep working on it so that he will be ready for a halter class. :)

Nope....he is the only one. :) I could not imagine how busy I would be if we had more! Teaching him his manners, and that we are not playmates is quite a job.

    Thanks everyone for the compliments.

Here are some new photos from last Wednesday:

So far Blizzard is yielding well to halter pressure forward, side to side, and some back. He is picking up all four feet really well. He is still working on giving people their space, yielding to pressure on different parts of the body, and likes to throw tantrums (gets really pushy and throws little bucks) if he is asked to focus on a task like leading properly while mom does her own training less than 20 feet away. He really likes his little crest to get rubbed - he arches his little neck so cute. :)

I am still trying to pick out a name from that list I posted to put on his papers (I better decide soon :) )

What do you guys think are the "must do's" and "do not's" of foal training??
