expecting my first foal

Hi Everyone,
I am new here. I came across this group while doing research to prepare myself for first (and I will say my only) foal. I am a very excite owner who is waiting patiently but anxious for the new arrival. I know most of you probably want to know why I bred my mare. Here is her pedigree:

She is a Missouri Fox Trotter:
DAM: Boogers Satin Lady
SIRE: Touch’s Lucky Strike
She is related to Black Cloud C and Zane’s Go Boy

I bred her to:
Goldy Cloud's Jubalation
DAM Shadows Heather Mist
SIRE: Cloud's Jubalation
He has an extensive show record.

Back to why I bred my mare. I did not breed her to sale the foal. I bred her because I love her temperament and her natural gait. I have be out riding with the stallion and he possess these same qualities. So I came here to share with other horse lovers my excitement. She is 5 months along. I am very nervous. Every day I am reading articles trying to learn as much as possible.

Thanks for listen.

Welcome to the forum first off!

How exciting! My Oldenburg mare is 5 months along too and I am so thrilled! The wait is killer, but still doing all the ultrasounds and everything is fun :) It is my first from the ground up foal and I have read almost every foaling/mare care book or website there is in preparation...lol. You should post pics of the dam and sire

This is Bella. My 8 y/o mare. Not the best picture.

Here is the sire:

I am so excited. May can't come soon enough. Tonight I found myself rubbing her belly. She puts up with a lot from me.

Your mare looks sweet :) I know little about MFTs, but that stallion is pretty! He kinda looks Andalusianish to me

I guess he does kinda look andalusianish. He's a registered Fox Trotter. He was the 2009 world champion.
