Favorite kind of pony?

I'm considering in the far future, keeping a pair of pony mares for competition and possibly a foal or two from an outside stud. Possibly. Keep in mind I'm not talking about a pair of mares I picked up for $500, but well-bred show ponies.

I'm particularly fond of the Hackney Ponies, due to their light appearance and snappy action. I find stockier ponies to be cute, but not something I'd be particularly interested in keeping. I kind of wish their was a breed more like Divo-Fells are similar but again, too stocky-but he's more 'one of a kind' in taking his fathers looks and his mothers height.
Welshes are, again, too stocky for my taste. I'm not really fond of their heads either, I think their too delicate on a too thick frame.

Do you have a favorite kind of pony? One thing I really hate is an ill-mannered pony. I just can't stand it, I hate it worse then a ill-mannered horse.

I'm a HUGE fan of German Riding Ponies. They remind me of mini-warmbloods, super adorable with fabulous athletic ability.

The Norwegian Fjord is my ultimate fav pony! They are so fat & cute & i love their manes & big gentle heads. The lips on them are huge as well ha ha!
I learned to ride on one when i was younger & still get the pleasure of riding said gelding every now & then when i go to my friend's parent's place.
I've never met a more docile breed & everyone i've talked to who's ever trained one said they were the easiest horses to work with :D

Don't get me wrong-I absolutely adore those little Fells  I've never seen a Welsh in person, on the net they look like they have pretty little heads then thick pony bodies o_O' Maybe they don't?

I was pondering on 'lighter' type ponies (like Hackneys or German Riding Ponies) for cart and halter shows. I'll definitely have a fat, hairy little beast of a pony sitting smugly in my pasture one day. Theres an old fart of one sitting sitting across the street in bad need of a diet, he's so short and fat and hairy though! I always want to go over there and hug him half to death :D

I saw the most beautiful Chocolate Palomino (either he was a chocolate, or a silver black) a while back. He had a long mane and was just so pretty and dark  Had a colt in the same color too!

I traditoional shetland pony as in the ones that are more like british ones as your wanting something to drive they probably are the best as the can pull the most waight for the size and two of them can pull the same wieght as a shire horse. Also they have HUGE peronalities and are easy to bread as you wanted two mare to breed from.
