Funny breeding stories anybody

Lol, so I have a friend who last year bought a mare. The (well known) breeder she got the mare from said he had bred the mare earlier In the year, but when ultrasounded the mare did not take. Well a year goes by and all of a sudden their "non-pregnant" mare starts getting quite fat. No bag or anything, but definitely getting bigger. About two weeks before the mare foaled, they were positive she was pregnant. One morning they walk out and there's a beautiful little sorrel filly staring them in the eyes they named her Uh-Oh, which I'm sure you can see why.
So does anybody else have funny breeding stories to share?

Uh, I have a few. When I hand bred my mare and the stallion had enough of her she glared back at him as if to say, "That's it? ".
The second one was when Princess was born we helped her stand up to nurse and she was confused where her food was so we helped her. When that side was "empty" her mom walked forward talking to her turn to the other side and side passed over to us where she could latch onto the other side. She is a very smart mare and it was her first baby mind you. :)
My third one... Not so much breeding, but close. Lately my mare has been grumpy so we figured she was silent heat or coming in since she wasn't acting in heat. Well, three nights ago we had a massive tornado storm warnings so we take Bentley, my stallion down to my grandma's in the trailer since our place has trees. We have him parked by the mare's pen with Princess and sure enough.... She tried to bust the door down to see him. Princess got to see her sire and May was showing full heat. Never seen that mare try to bust a door down to get bred and all this through a storm where the tornadoes were coming half way down over our heads. We were sure we would die then and there but we were lucky. So now, we are dealing with an in heat mare.

I have two that I'll share.

We bought our first mare from a well known Arabian stable in the area. She had been bred, but we didn't think she'd caught because she appeared to come back into heat. This was in the early '90's, so I'm not sure what US technology was at that time for horses, but she didn't get an US. It was late in the year, so we didn't breed back. Anyway, we were pretty young kids and didn't ride her alot throughout the cold winter months and so when she appeared to "put on a little weight", we thought nothing of it. Even as Spring wore on, she looked a little bit chubby, but again, with two little kids riding her, we didn't necessarily provide heavy exercise. Then, seemingly overnight, her belly dropped and was HUGE and she had a massive bag. My mom called the vet out and sure enough, she was pregnant, and based on her last breeding date, due any day. Unfortunately, there were complications during labour and we lost the foal, but I won't get into that. The whole thing was funny though, because she literally showed nothing until just before her foaling date.

The other one I have was with my mare. She was due early July. I was a teenager and was out every single morning, first thing, rain or shine, eagerly waiting for the expected foal. Every morning, nothing. A friend of mine who lived in the city invited me to stay for the weekend. I thought, "sure, why not, she's never going to have this thing." Sure enough, I got a phone call the very next morning from my dad, that the foal had been born. The worst part, I wasn't going to be leaving my friend's place until the next afternoon!!! Longest. Weekend. Ever.
