Smile Glory Breeding Journal

I just came home from dropping my show horse off at the stud (Hollywood Maverick) I thought that this would help keep me busy while she is gone and keep everyone updated on her progress etc...

So anyways here is some information that may or may not be useful...I just need to ramble...sorry!

DAM: Something Glorious
AGE: 16
BREED: Pony Of Americas
How long at breeders? 1 Day
COLOR: Varnish Roan

SIRE: Hollywood Maverick
AGE: 6
BREED: Appaloosa
COLOR: Cremello

So anyways name ideas would be nice to hear to pass the time etc...

I was thinking about calling it SomethingTreasured or SomeKindaTreasure and call the foal Schatz for a barn name, it means treasure in German ;)

Anywho...If you have any ideas please feel free to give them I am all ears!

Here are some pictures! (Anyone can post seriously :) I don't care! Lol)

The first are of Glory, the cremello is Hollywood Maverick, the foals are some of Maverick's offspring :)

Schatzie is my friend's horse's name! Her show name is Flirtatious, but that was given to her by my friend who didn't like her German show name :P Good luck!!

Good luck the stud is gorgeous and I love your mare! I'm sure they would have a wonderful baby.

You are never better than anyone. Every rider has skills they need to improve. The only one you must compare yourself with, is you.

Hollywood Glory wouldn't be too bad, just my opinion. The stallion is beautiful and so is your mare. Shoud be a nice cross!

I have thought of that name except I don't want to call the foal Glory because that's what I call mom, and I am not about to give it the most generic unique barn name, Hollywood (or Holly).

I like un-generic names that go with the horses Registered name.

Nice thought though :) Thanks! That's the thought! I love Maverick! He is very laid back and very sweet and gentle, its a bonus that he is a cremello. (All of my horses are bay...even though Glory doesn't look like it) So this way I can get a buckskin or a palomino :) And a nice cross.

Ah! I see! I don't blame you. That's a tough one in a way :)I hoe you get what color you want. The wait is always fun :)When ever we wait for a foal, I just love making names up for a mini-hobby whether its good or bad. It pans out!How about: Mavericks lil treasure, Somespecialmaverick, maverickspecialsecretWhat registry are you registering the foal with?

If the foal does not get too big it will be registered as a POA if it get taller then that I will register it as an Appaloosa.

Oh same here! The barn that I work at, is breeding two mares so next year my foal will be with the two others, it will be an interesting herd! Two creme dilute paint foals and one spotted creme dilute foal :) lol :) Yes we come up with names all the time! Its a fun way to pass the time.
