Her dam is N/N because she doesn't go back to Impressive at all. Her sire goes back to Impressive on two lines, but one of those has the Impressive daughter listed as N/N. I would test though - a single appearance of Impressive is enough to warrant it.

I meant sire. Sorry. How can you tell the HYPP status OH HOLY ONE? Yes, I'm having her tested for piece of mind.

Can I copy that link to start a new thread or keep it for future posting of it? Sorry to take up so much of your time.

According to what I read, and I hope I read it right, if the colt born 1998 or later is NN it is not stated on the registration paper. If either the mare or stallion was H/H or N/H then the offspring would have to be tested. But if it's only $30, what the hay?

    Impressive Christa Quarter Horse

This is the Impressive daughter that is N/N. If you hover your mouse over the little info icon beside her name, some more info pops down. The other Impressive bred horses in your horse's pedigree all have ?/? Or nothing at all.

    What the hay!

The back of my cert says: This horse has an ancestor know to carry HYPP, designated under AQHA rules as a genetic defect. AQHA recommends testing to confirm presence or absence of this gene.

So testing is a must for me.

I know you wish I would just give up Chiilaa......but I don't see a little info icon beside her name?

I was looking at the name on the pedigree. Didn't even see the one at the top of the page until I saw your beautiful art work pointing out my stupidity!
