    OK GUYS BIG NEWS

Last Tuesday the mare went into false labor so today is her due date and we are on edge. Family troubles are calming down maybe a trickle, but I think the foal will bring us close. Hopefully

So be voting in the color poll and I will be making a foal scrapbook!

I also fully agree with Vida. As you will not be the one covering the costs of that new horse, you really don't think you have much say in the situation whether or not you agree with your aunt's actions.

    NEWS

Ok well the past announcement was not much because I found out she was not waxing yet so she started Monday and we should be expecting as of this weekend. So I, as promised, will be posting a lot of pictures for you guys!

Hopefully they'll let me spend the night in the barn

    =)

Well I found out why my aunt has been off-course. I found out she has ovarian cancer the other night.....

So, she is hurting really bad. It happened after a school bus wrecked into them about a year ago and she never told anyone but the doctors found it. She told my mom and her sister-in-law (my other aunt) but no one else. Then the women told the men so now her brothers know. They are trying to understand but I never knew it. My younger 12-year-old cousin doesn't know yet still, so I am debating whether to sit her down and talk about it.

    Please give best thoughts.

    Signing out for the day-

    Another P.S.

Also send best wishes for my dad. He had prostate cancer a while back and they performed surgery, and I also just found out it is trying to come back.

Of all people though, my 80-some-odd year old grandma is going strong even after being in the wreck with my aunt and having her neck broke. She wore a halo for half a year if not longer and had to learn to walk all over. Now she can go by herself and get outside!

    The Baby Has Arrived

    The baby is here!

It is a little filly, a redish-brown and white in her coloration (paint) but classified as tri-color because in her mane and tail she has black.
She is like a little rocket (she doesn't have a name yet because all we need to know is if she has the SSH gait and then she can be registered) and at maybe 5 days old......

-By thw way she was born last Tuesday night-

....she had kicked me, stomped on my feet, and head-butted me. But since that was the first time since she was born that I got to see her, it was a miracle that the next day she came up and nuzzled my fingers and let me rub her forehead.

I have been thinking alot about her, and how my aunt has been getting a bit worse.
I haven't felt good about it at all and lately shadows and stuff have been haunting me and I wonder if it is an omen.
I had visions of roaches with bodies the size of basketballs crawling up the wall, another where I was staring at a brick wall and a ghost went by quickly. I woke from that vision while I was half-asleep, screaming. I hear voices. I have weird scards I never had shaped like a pitchfork and the letter "D". It's just weird.

But luckily next Tuesday the baby will be 2 weeks old, and she is a strong little girl. She's got spunk.

We are looking at these names so give us your opinions:
    *Epona
    *Katie
    *Angel Eyes
    *Nitro
    *Rocket

    And more to come.

    With best wishes,
    -Fala
P.S. Thanks for all of your support on this and blessed be for holidaus to come.

Congrats on the new foal, glad it is healthy. You sure have a lot of stuff going on with family health. That has got to be having some effect on your dreams. Try to stay positive in your thoughts and hopefully your dreams will follow. Don't read to much into them, you have had some stress and that has a tendency to spill over into your sleeping. I will say a prayer for your Dad and Aunt.
We need some pics of that filly

We are thinking of calling her Lil Bit. I pitched the name in after I saw she is "a lil bit of everything"

Tomorrow she'll be thee weeks old.
She already has a halter and leadrope on, leading, and her feet can be picekd up,. Her hair is filling out, her ribs don't show anymore, and she is eating grass/drinking water/eating hay yet she still keeps her momma's-milk mustache on proudly!

    =)
So she's doing very well guys! Pictures coming soon of her progress

    Hello everyone great news.
(I first of all want to apologize for not having pics yet!)

Well the baby is doing wonderous. Lil Bit, as I call her, is getting bigger and her head is up to her mother's back now. We are trying to see her gait and figure out if maybe she is a SSHBEA quality baby. Her coat is beautiful and it is a light brown and white.
Not much to describe her except.....
She takes after daddy and grandmother.
Nothing like her mother! Strange how that happens huh?

    Well another big event:
Apache (dad), Penny (mom), Lil Bit, Ginger (Penny's daughter), and Teddy Bear (Penny's son, gelded, youngest of all her babies excluding Lil Bit) are now all in the same pasture.

The baby has spunk. She has kicked her brother and sister and only little brother kicked her. Jealousy took over after mom replaced him with a new one!

Apache is challenging over 3 FENCE LINES BETWEEN him and Penny's oldest son, still a stallion, Rowdy. But only to prove his strength and protect his herd.

He lets Penny and Lil Bit stay in his barn and guards the door from Ginger and Teddy Bear. He kicks them for getting too close. The baby also is bonding well with her dad, it is such a sight!

His manners are good too even though he got a rowdy bunch of kids in there now. He handled it very well to lead and change halters the first day they were all put together. He is a perfect gentleman pretty much now, knowing he is a father and the herd leader.

So we will be starting him on barrels as soon as he gets a breast collar and enter him in our kids rodeos, for the arena race (race down to one barrel, turn it, and come back). Possibly the real barrels.

Best wishes to everyone else and theirs truly (horssssssssssssses that is!)

    Love,
    Cheyenne
