Has anyone ever used the Wee Foal tests?

So, the mini mare we just bought may be in foal. She will be coming home to us in October and should be just going into the optimal window for the Wee Foal test. Just curious if anyone has actually used them and how accurate they were if you did.

LOVE them :) I use them, never had an incorrect result as long as I tested between 120 and 300 days. Unlike Pregnamare, which I have had more than one incorrect result.

Good to know, thanks! I just want to have some sense of certainty in what we are going to be dealing with, if that makes sense.

I told my husband about the test and he was laughing his butt off picturing me trying to get a horse to pee in a cup, silly boy.
CheyAut, do you muck about with their "catching device" method or just do the spot and soak/collect method?

OMG!! Pregnancy tests for horses - this will be my new obsession! When hubby and I were TTC, I was "addicted to the stick". I can't wait to try these on our mares! Yay! Where do yyou get them?

I put on a sheet or fly sheet, attach a wash towel under the tail and between the hind legs, and put a feminine pad on it. I do this first thing in the morning, my mares seem to pee while I start feeding breakfast. Then I squeeze out a little of the pee into the lid to a water bottle ;)

We are a distributor for Weefoal (thus the name LOL) I would never sell them unless I had used them myself. They are very accurate when done correctly. I have never had a bad result yet.

All I do is put the mare in a freshly bedded stall and most will immediately urinate. I just wait and put a cup under the tail and get the sample before they even know what happened.

Some like to put a piece of plastic on the stall floor to catch the urine. It does work best with a clean sample. Also the urine and test have to come to room temperature for the most accurate result.

There is info on my website about them

And yes this is a pregnancy test for mares, donkeys and zebras :)
