How long after weaning

Just out of curiousity, how long after weaning a foal does the mare quit producing milk and dry up?

It depends

It really depends on the mare. I have seen some mares not dry up for weeks after weaning, while others will dry up after a couple weeks. It really depends on the mare.

Foal
Well I had a mare that I weaned her foal on Friday. Of course her udders got big, but this morning her unders were smaller. Not smaller than when she was nursing but they are smaller than SUnday. It something wrong or is she just drying up fast?
