    Awesome.

I almost bought a horse a year ago. I took her on a trial and ended up keeping her for 3 months because the owner had a barn fire and could not take her back. Of course in those 3 months I came to love the horse, but she had an injury and would never be the horse I was looking for. She had been a brood mare, and purely because I was attached I considered keeping her and breeding for the foal. I am glad that I reconsidered and returned her.

I thought the Appaloosa Association did take "half" QH's... as long as both parents were papered - or has that changed recently? (that's not me saying I think you should breed... not at all!)

^you are correct, as long as the Appy parent isn't NC.

    YAY!

I was seriously thinking about breeding my Arab mare - I've always had an Arab, and trying to buy any decent ones around here is a pain. I had a few considerations, not deciding if I want purebred or partbred. After awhile I took a good step back, and as much as I love Zierra and think she has decent conformation, she has terrible feet that have caused leg injuries.

So I went and bought a 2 year old Paint filly instead! BEST decision of my life, I absolutely love Jynx to pierces, we have the exact same bond I feel I've ever had (my last two horses I had from birth) and I swear she's almost making me switch teams with her smooth gaits and docile temperment! And she WOULD have ended up in the kill pens or as an unregistered broodmare if I didn't buy her!

    GO NO BREEDING!
