I think she's pregnant

I got this mare last Oct. Prev owner had a mini stallion, but didn't breed them last year. She also had mini donks, almost positive one was a jack. So while the mare isn't supposed to be pregnant, I sure think she is! Hoping for a spotted mini mule ;)

So besides the giant belly, I've been trying to breed her to my stallion for two months, with NO interest from her and I've NEVER seen her show any signs of being in season. A couple days ago I just stared at her belly and saw movement three times (although it is possible it was muscle twitches from flies... but I don't think so). Yesterday I think I felt a foal move (but she isn't too fond of me touching her belly too much so it's hard to say with certainty, but it was in the right spot and sure felt like a foal!). Also felt her udder yesterday, one side is bigger than the other, starting to bag up just a bit.

I should hopefully know tomorrow. Here's pics

Oh yeah, preggers. :) If she is, when will she be due? Or when do you think, at least.

That sort of sounds like the situation with my mare that I bought last October. The owner and vet really didn't think she was in foal, and then all of a sudden, I'm like, "you know, I think she looks pregnant!" Lol!

I too, kept wondering if she would show herself being is season. Not that I own a stallion or was going to breed her, because I wasn't, but just because this is the first mare I had for any length of time, and I was wondering if she was just perfect and didn't show her heat cycles. Now I know why. I hope she is this non-marish when she isn't in foal!

So let us know when you find out for sure, but she does definitely look it!

And the results are in..................

I knew it!

I haven't a clue when she'd be "due" as the prev owner didn't purposely breed her... But I know she at least shared a fence line with the mini stallion and mini donks part time, and it's possible maybe she was turned out with the mini donks, with prev owner thinking they wouldn't breed? I really don't know. Time will tell! She's not dropped at all, she's super wide. But I'm sure it won't be too long! So now I Have to play the "who's going to foal first" game to decide who to have on marestare first... so far Tango is progressing slightly ahead of Ruby. By Ruby's normal gestation length she should be going within the week, but I think she has other plans this time around! LOL So, we wait...

She's adorable! :) I can't wait to see what she has. I think she's got at least a couple of weeks left tho.
