Skittle! She's gorgeous! What a beautiful lil girl. I personally have a HUGE soft spot for bays, I think they are superb. Great big congrats to you and Storm! What are you going to name her?

    Foal
Thanks Indy, she is adorable isn't she...

I haven't had time to think about names, between work yesterday and spending half the day today getting some more hay, I've barely spent any time with her... But she has been touched all over and hopefully soon will be balanced well enough that she quits trying to fall over scratching her ear (and its so cute watching her) that I'll be able to start picking up her feet...

Very cute, they are so much fun, I would have one every year if it weren't for overbreeding horses in general and then have to sell them.

I'm going to wait to see what her personality is like before I name her....
Totall agree with seeing what they are like before naming. My horse was out of state when she gave birth so I flew down to see her and name her

    Thanks...

I'm sure she is going to be a great experience... I had no intention of ever having a foal on my property, but I couldn't turn down a good free horse just cause she was in foal...

I'm pretty sure I've got another bay, but no complaints... I was too worried about complications to have a preference on color or sex...

I got really lucky that everything went well, but boy do I have a lot of work ahead of me...

I know what you mean. When our filly was born I was just HAPPY it was alive. I was scared that something would go wrong. It's my first foal ever so I was understandably nervous. I didn't care what color/sex it was. Congrats!

Thunderhooves - keep the ideas coming, but I'm trying to get away from "s" names.... so far I've got 2 dogs, Snoopy and Spooky, a snake, Spot, and 2 horses, Sandy and Storm... I'm having trouble keeping everyone straight lol....

Since her mother is Stormy, what about Rainy?

That could really work. Her show name could be Rainstorm but you could call her Rainy for short! There's a famous mustang around here named Hail Yeah, you could call her Hail Storm, and Hailey for short.
