It's a Mule!! :)

My mother bred two mares last year – Gigi (GAYLES GOLDEN GIRL) and Strawberry (TINYS STRAWBERRY SPRING), who are mother and daughter – to a mammoth jack (whose name has something to do with Sterling).

Strawberry, due to the poor nutrition and lack of food, ended up absorbing her baby. But, miraculously, Gigi gave birth to a cute little mule baby last monday. Thought I'd share her with you(:



She doesn't have a name – or if she does, I don't know about it. Luckily, my mother sold both Gigi and her baby to the jack's owner, who breeds mules and really likes the baby and Gigi as a broodmare.

This baby is most likely going to turn blue, like her full sister, Sunshine did.



Sunshine was born the same color, hence the "Sunshine" part, when she actually turned out blue. But her half (horse) sister was a strawberry roan paint at birth, and is now flea-bitten gray. And her mother was born palomino (hence the "Golden" part) and is now gray –*she also turned grulla along the way.

So, yeah!! :)

I will definitely not get started on the irresponsibility of my mother, or anything else, or what she said to me when I tried to talk to her about it! I am 17, and have no say in what she does. Obviously. So!

And here's a picture of the momma, Miss Gigi. This filly's half sister, Strawberry, is next to her. They're all filthy and covered in tar weed and burrs. Glamorous, I know. ;)

Gawsh, I know!! :} Haven't met her in person, and probably won't since I think she's officially sold with her mama to that breeder lady for $2,500. I mostly stay separate from my mother's business...

Do you even call them fillies? Or do they have some specially mule name? They can't be jennies, because I think a jenny is equivalent to a mare... Hmmm... *strokes invisible goatee*

Oh!! And the daddy's name is BAR JF STERLING SILVER, I just discovered ;) I have been so far unsuccessful in digging up any pictures of the beast. I've never seen him before, either :] Buuut...!!

She is too cute!

You know, I have no idea! Why don't we compromise and call the female mule babies "jewelies"

They are fillies, and I believe they are Mollies after four years old, Johns (gelded), Jennies are donkey mares.
