I've been keeping this secret for months now and, I'm super happy to share with the people of HF first! I am so excited to start this thread as it has been several years in the works.
This past winter I won a charity auction to one of the stallions I've been oogling over for some-time now! The timing worked out well to leave my horses boarded in the care of the Stallion owner while I've been away.
We've been monitoring her heat cycles and I was informed she ovulated about April 30th. The breeder was able to cover her twice and informed me that my mare promptly came out of heat.
We're scheduled for our first ultrasound appointment on May 15th to see if she took! We're hoping to plan the due date to be for Spring 2016. With this breeding, I am hoping to breed for a very level headed & heavy foal. With the heights of the parents I'm hoping the foal will be at 14.2hh & about as round with a steady temperament.
Without further ado it is my pleasure to introduce the pair!
Dam: Super steady ride/drive horse. Usually my go-to horse for friends and family. Very solidly built traditional cob with heavy bone and feather.
Stallion: Along with being stupid amounts of hairy he's handsome and has the sweetest temperament! In person his presence is awe inspiring. (he has performance pictures as well but, I haven't got explicit permission to use them so I left them out)
