    Lucky was probably the exception to the rule. Even if he wasn't and that was the norm, that would only give her about three years left to breed with him. Depending on the age of her mare(s) that may not be enough time. I have a few mares who are getting up there in age, and they definitely need a younger, very fertile stallion. And I'll be willing to bet that you didn't get him at the age of 27. Our main stallion is 6 now and I hope to have him breeding into his 30's. That would be awesome.
