I didn't even think of being homozygous for tobiano would kick him out of frame. I'm still learning my genetics... won't take that class until next year.. Oh well.

So, let me get this straight. You haven't bred her yet, right? Gosh, this is going to be one long thread then. Haha.

Being homozygous for tobiano does not "kick him out of frame." A horse that is homozygous for tobiano can still be carrying frame. The only gene that you won't see on a homozyous tobiano horse is true roan.

Yes, it will be a long thread. Lol. I think she'll actually be bred in March. Lol. So make that two and a half months. The hard part is finding an equine repro vet.

So long as you keep doing updates, there is no reason to start a new thread. Every update/comment will bring it to the top

Unless you decide not to do updates and wait until the last few months before baby arrives. Then you can start a foaling thread. That would be a reason to start a new thread

Very exciting! I've always liked that stud. AI or Live Cover? Are you sending your mare there to be bred?

We're doing A.I. She'll be at our vets for up to two weeks so he can catch her cycle when it starts!! I'm very excited. Hopefully I can get ahold of my vet and get everything done with one time! A girl can wish!
