mini donkey foaling thread

I couldn't resist. I am going to be buying a mini donkey foal from the same breeder I bought Danee from. Trudy is due March 6th & Clementine on March 22nd. They are currently stalled together, but will be seperated as we get closer to foaling. Trudy is the slightly taller of the two. They can be seen on Marestare.com under V&V paints & minis. I'm hoping for a solid grey jack ( so I can have a matched team) but a jenny wouldn't be so bad. The pic's of the jennys are from ealier this fall & one of Bonjo, the jack. Both are maiden's. Trudy started showing a bag 2 weeks ago, so we're wondering if she will go early. I'm so excited for my new baby to get here!!!

Super cute!! Excited to see mini donkey babies! My hubby wants a donkey. I'll have to research the full size donkey in comparison to the mini...hmmm.

My only update from the breeder today: "Trudy teats are getting nice and full and hard where as Clem are getting full but real soft yet" Guess we've got a way to go yet

Not much to update :( Trudy seems content to keep that baby in there till her due date. Clem scared me the other night. I was watching on MareStare & she was pacing, pawing & had her tail held out. After about 20 minutes she settled down & went back to eating.

Clementine -Day 344 .... Trudy - Day 357, both have good bags that are pretty hard, but not much other signs, :(

Trudy just has a spotted janette. Exactly what they had been hoping for. Well, now my hopes have to rest on Clem. One more chance for my solid colored colt. I'll have pic's of the baby sometime tomorrow
