Navajo's Baby-Mommas

I thought I would start a thread for my expected foals of 2012. It will be kind of fun to document The mares torment me already when they really should be trying much harder to get me to like them. The foals will be by my stallion, Smokes Navajo.

1st mare - Squeaks (1996 AQHA career broodmare & general dictator / motion sensitive alarm system)
Was due about March 29th, however she aborted sometime between her 7th & 8th month. Very sad! I was looking forward to that foal as a potential cutter. He certainly would have been if he had 1/2 his dam's "character"

2nd mare - Big Mare (2000 AQHA career broodmare)
Due on or about April 3rd. Big Mare earned her name from her size, she is quite leggy.

(Photo from previous owner)

(Photo from 2-11-12. Excuse the floor. The mares feel it is their duty to redecorate the barn floor upon entry, especially if they can replicate cow patties)

3rd mare - Rondee (2007 APHA maiden mare)
Due on or about June 6th. Rondee was bred late because she had some health issues when she arrived. Very excited for this foal as I just received the results today that she is N/SW1, so I'm hoping for a very loud future cutter.

Well. that is what I have for now. Hopefully I can keep this updated, but you will all have to beat me with wet noodles to get more photos taken & posted.

**I tried to adjust the photo sizes, but it doesn't seem to want to stick, so sorry about that.

You mean my harassing you for pictures isn't enough!

I'm still sad about Squeak's foal. I can't wait to see the other two.

And since people are going to ask, you should put up a pic or two of Navajo.

Love your stallion! He is beautiful, and it is certain that you will have some good looking foals out of your mares. Can't wait to watch their progression and see their beautiful babies

Alright, alright. See...I need public humiliation to get photos up. Mostly, it is a pain to upload them to photobucket & then here. So, that being said, I'm going to put some of my favorites rather than strict confo-type shots.

Navajo showing his own version of shoulder-in/ half-pass

Navajo trotting through our South Pasture. I just love how big & sweepy he is for being a chunk.

My avatar is Smokes Pepper (aka Snoopy) He is a gelding and full brother to Navajo.

Just posted some pics of Smokes Navajo (aka Navajo) for everyone to see, and yes he is a cutter.

Here is a show photo of Navajo. Not very exciting as this was right before the cow started to move/work.

You are just REALLY making me wish I still had my solid paint mare to breed to him! That would have been a quick moving and athletic cross, sweet temperament and super easy to train too if the foal were anything like the mare

His AQHA papers are pending. I was just recently able to track down an heir to a person I needed signatures from, so it looks like those papers may finally get completed this year
