Need advice on pg mare

I bought her on june 20 of last year, the owner said she was breed, but did not know when as she was kept in with the stud. You could see the baby moving the day I got her. As of today, I have had her 8 months and 4 days. I have no idea at how many months before you can see and feel the baby moving. Anyways, for the past 3 days, she has been mostly just standing around. She eats her grain and hay as normal. She started making a bag over a week ago and yesterday I noticed a few drops of blood coming from her. Is this normal? If so I am guessing the babies coming in a day or 2? Thanks forany advice, Mary

What does your vet say?

Ditto this.

Was she ever confirmed in foal by a vet or just assumed to be in foal by you and her previous owner?

I'm sorry - but at the stage of pregnancy she was at in June, it was impossible to see the foal move

OP, this is not the BB to come to if you're not getting proper prenatal care for your mare.

If she hasn't been seen by a vet before now, you need to get one out ASAP!

She saw a vet and he confermed that she was, before I bought her.I know she's pg, that's not the advice I was asking. I am asking about the blood spots.

Check out the link that I posted in this thread, it will help you decide how far along she is

When will she foal??

As you are obviously lacking in experience here, so it would be a good iduea to have your vet come out and look her over, you can then review all your foaling preparation and your foaling kit with them, it will also let the vet decide when they have to be on alert to be available for assistance.

I, in all honest, would be calling a vet and discussing this with them. A phone call is free.
