New Arrival!

Yay, my maiden mare foaled tonight! Foaling went smooth, she is being a great mommy and was totally cool with me being there. I was expecting her to be a bit over protective, she has a bit of a bossy personality lol!

She had a stud colt, was very dark, drying out a lot lighter with strong couter shading, possible dorsal stripe. We will have to wait and see on color :) He doesn't have a speck of white anywhere. Very leggy little guy, doing great after he unfolded! Up nursing and passed meconium within an hour.

Couldn't have went better! Can't wait to post pics tomorrow

Either way I believe he's going to be growing up to be grey! Are you keeping him? I love watching horses grey out through the years!

Is it possible he could go Dun? Sorry if that's a stupid question. I'm not at all good with colors.

Well I THINK the grey gene is dominant and if you have at least 1 grey parent then the foal is going grey without a doubt, but don't quote me on that lol
