If he was going to stay bay, wouldn't his legs be that light fawn colour instead of black? I have very minimal experience, but I think he'll be grey :)
I agree with the above. I think he's a gray! My colt last year (our of a gray dam) was born an adult-looking bay color. NO goggles. He IS graying out.
My neighbor's mare had a bay colt and he was born a similar body color but with fawn shading on the legs. He is definitely a bay.
So I bet he's a gray, especially if he has a couple white eye-lashes. My guy didn't have a peck of white on him (other than regular markings) and he is graying out now.
With a gray parent, he has a 50/50 shot at being gray.
