I agree with the above. I think he's a gray! My colt last year (our of a gray dam) was born an adult-looking bay color. NO goggles. He IS graying out.

My neighbor's mare had a bay colt and he was born a similar body color but with fawn shading on the legs. He is definitely a bay.

So I bet he's a gray, especially if he has a couple white eye-lashes. My guy didn't have a peck of white on him (other than regular markings) and he is graying out now.

With a gray parent, he has a 50/50 shot at being gray.

Awwe, So cute, I too have a maiden mare who is due soon, I am so hoping to be able to witness it. She is 326 days now. She was acting like she was ready last weekend, now she seems quite content. Very full udder and starting to relax.

I am so happy for you that Mom and son are doing well!

Thanks so much everyone! She's my first grey, I would love if he changed...but from my avatar you can see my love for a solid bay too, so I'm good either way!

Thanks for the photos Allison!

I also noticed when I was out a bit ago that he has a silverish hue underneath as I rubbed the hair upwards on his pasterns, I think he might just change :)
This will be my first grey if he is, excited at the possibility of watching the stages.
