    Now I am confused =/

I was bringing school ponies into a different field. This one mare was calling out to another mare that was brought out. I thought that a bit weird because well they are not great friends. Then when they are both in the same field one of the mares keeping neighing at the other and she gets really excited pushing into the mare. Then she mounts her! What?! The one that is mounted starts walking around and the one on top is walking after her on two legs! I have never heard of a mare mount another mare before?! And also the one being mounted keep doing little pees. I know she was obviously in season but it was a bit weird seeing the other mare act the way she diid...

I thought it was because dogs do it but all of the geldings were totally oblivious to what was going on! Some of them were looking though. Like what are you two up too XD

If I remember right I think mares do that often if they are in heat.

Cows do that too :) that's how we know when to get them inseminated, we put tail paint on the top of their tails and when it's rubbed out we know the cows in heat because she's been mounted by another cow.
