Keeping everyone posted. Peppy had her 70 day ultra sound yesterday. It wasn't as clear as I hoped, still using rectal probe. The baby is about the size of a hamster, in twenty days an outside the belly ultra sound. Did see the baby moving around a lot. Long legs, and very active. Next ultra sound the vet says the baby will be around the size of a cat. All very exciting!!! Will try and send ultra sound pics when I get them. Judy

    Foal
Had something unusual happen a couple of days ago wondering if any one else has seen this. It is around eighty in Peppys pregnancy, and I noticed a swelling in her belly in front of her nipples. Very very sensitive to touch. She has never minded a soothing touch in this area, in fact loves it when I clean there. I've seen that area swollen at end of pregnancy, filling with milk.did call vet, he asked if area was hot and if got larger to call. After some Internet searches(love the Internet) an article talked about the cups created during pregnancy
Release highest levels of hormones, and start on the decline of releasing. Sure enough the swelling started getting less after day 80. Kinda like for these of us have had swollen tender breasts from hormones. Any one else experience this, or think it may be something else?

It took about two weeks, but swelling has gone down, I truly believe it was the cups dissolving, and at day 80, the estrogen levels is at one of its highest. The vet is doing a trans abdominal ultra sound, should be able to clearly see the foal, and possibly sex! Will let you all know!!!!
