Not this year. I have a yearling colt now and one on the way, so those 2 in addition to the rest of my crew I have to ride, I'll have my hands full. I do plan to look this next year for the perfect broodie though to breed to Paddy's Irish Whiskey.
I was going to breed my mare right back to RC Fancy Step this year, but am going to wait until next year to have an earlier foal. Besides, it will be nice to be able to ride my mare without worrying about baby next year. I picked RC Fancy Step because he is a broader reining horse and is absolutely perfect for what I am looking for in a horse. He is also more even and has a larger/deeper hip than my mare and is more shorter coupled than my mare. I think the cross will be phenominal! I am also going to breed my mare to Chic Please down the road. I think he is an extremely nice sire as well and is affordable and proven (both himself and his offspring)
It isn't my mare, but my mom's, but she is going to be bred on her next heat cycle. She lost her foal (gorgeous filly) 3 months before her due date in May. Her culture just came back clear, so now we just wait another 2 weeks or so and rebreed her. The foal will be most likely kept forever, possibly shown in halter as a youngster and under saddle later.
I plan on breeding whiskey at the end of the month when her next cycle should be due (however her current cycle seems to be lasting forever, I swear she turns to the worlds biggest horsey hussy in spring)
She's being bred to a pure arabian stallion from the crabbet lines ( I don't know much in the way of blood lines and can only go on what my boss tells me lol ) , my boss owns him and offered his stud services for free due to how much I help out for them, she showed me his lines and what he's won and what his dam and sire had won and I must admit I am so psyched about this. I've forgotten his pedigree name,i must ask for it again.
I'm hoping to get something I can endurance ride on and maybe try some show jumping. Like whiskey and merry it's going to have a home for life (i get far too attatched)
I'll ask my boss if I can take summersaults picture, however I doubt i'll do him any justice as he's stabled and rugged at the moment. I have a few head shots of him though.
This is summersault, he's 23 :) and roughly 15'3 - 16hh IMG1317A.jpg
I just bred my mare on April 7th and 8th so awaiting next week for results. :) I will probably have two girls of my mine (after I find one) next year to my stallion Bentley "Me Too Radical" to put out his foals. :) if I find a mare before breeding season ends I'll be breeding her to Bentley. I'll post pictures when I get newer picture and they're all shed out ;) Posted via Mobile Device
