I am an AQHA member, but I'm not finding where on the site I can get a produce record. I might try calling them, though.

I have come to the decision, however, that chances are pretty slim that I'll breed Tanner, at least to this guys stud. I've been hearing a few things from people I know about this guy basically offering up his stud to everyone who owns a mare. And despite that... Tanner's saddle is coming in soon (I hope) and I'd rather give her a chance as a riding horse.

Despite that, I do like to know everything I can about anything to do with horses, and so perhaps if I later do decide to breed one of them, I won't get screwed on the deal. ;p

To get horse records you first need to log in and then at the top left hand side it will say start record research or something like that. Click in it and it will open up a second window and you type in the horses name or registration number and then the horse will come up and on the right side it will give you a list of things you can get for that horse from performance records to produce of dam get of sire ownership records and such.

Ohh, so that's how! Thanks!

So Tanner's had six registered foals, (all mares, which I find amusing for some reason) only one of which has any info besides the sire and birthdate.

...I assume that's not very impressive?
Hey, she's out of the same stud as Magic, too.

Well no it is not all that impressive. However it dose show that the mare is trainable and can compete. She was a 3yo when she won that so who knows why she did not compete past that.

Hmm, its all interesting. Well, from what you say it just sounds like he's a jerk out looking to make a quick $ by breeding. If he's telling as many people about breeding to his stud as you say, and then trying to charge them... heh... think of all that money... because that's what he's doing
